The annual Bertram Reunion will be held Sunday, July 12 at the Wayne
County Park at the large shelter house.

SPANN HILL BAPTIST CHURCH REVIVAL
Revival will be held at Spann Hill Baptist Church beginning on July 19

PLEASANT HILL BAPTIST CHURCH CEMETERY

The descendants of William Harrison Byrd and Lucinda Hildreth Zachary
will be holding the 30th annual Byrd-Zachary reunion on Saturday, July 25,

FREE CLASSES AT THE WAYNE COUNTY HEALTH DEPT.
The Wayne County Health Dept. will be holding free classes, "Living Well
with Diabetes." Classes will be held on the following dates: August 11,
August 18, August 25, and September 1, beginning at 1-3 p.m. The evening

BOSTON FAMILY REUNION
The Boston Family Reunion will be held Saturday, August 1 at the Boston
farm in Mill Springs beginning at 10 a.m. The farm is located off Highway
1275 near the 12 mile marker at 579 Boston Road, which is between Mill
Springs Park and Conley Bottom Dock road. This reunion is for descendants of
John Preston Boston and Nancy Duncan.
A potluck meal will be served about noon. All relatives and friends are
invited to attend.
SHELBY LOREN GUFFEY FAMILY REUNION
The Shelby Loren Guffey Family Reunion will be Saturday, July 11 at the
ASPIRE Center from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. with a potluck lunch around noon.
HAMMOND FAMILY REUNION
Children and grandchildren of Corbin and Vada Hammond will hold their
annual reunion starting with the 15th Annual "Uncle Bud's Picnic" at the
home of Bud and Sue Hammond on Friday, July 3 at 6 p.m. On Sunday, July 5
the family picnic will be held at the Tucker Shelter in Bronston. All family
and friends are invited to bring a dish and join us. Dinner will be served
at 1 p.m.
WAYNE COUNTY REPUBLICAN COMMITTEE
The Wayne County Republican committee officiers and Wayne County
Republican Precinct officiers will be holding a joint meeting on Tuesday,
July 14 at 6 p.m. at the ASPIRE Center.
REVIVAL AT JESUS LIGHTHOUSE
An eruption revival will be held beginning Wednesday, July 1 at 7 p.m.
at the Jesus Lighthouse on Slickford Rd. (on Hwy. 1009 off Hwy. 200). The
featured Holy Ghost evangelists are Bob Nicholson and David Hicks. There
will be singers and music, miracles and divine healings. The pastory is
Sally Dishman.
ANTHONY JONES FAMILY REUNION
The annual Anthony Jones Family Reunion will be Saturday, July 4 at the
Tucker Shelter at Bronston. The potluck lunch will be around noon. All

WCHS CLASS OF 1969 40TH REUNION
The Wayne County High School Class of 1969 will have their 40th year
reunion on Saturday, October 10 at the Wayne County High School Cafeteria.
YOUTH WORSHIP CELEBRATION
There will be a youth worship celebration on Sunday, July 19 at 6 p.m.
at the Southside Church of God of Prophecy. Special music will be provided
by Robby Atwood and VII Days Away. Weather permitting we will celebrate

LOVELL REUNION
The Lovell Reunion will be held Saturday, July 4 at the Boston farm in
Mill Springs beginning at 10 a.m. The farm is located off Hwy. 1275 near the

There will be a Caylor Reunion this coming August in Monticello, Ky.

Caylor Roberts, who married Reuban Roberts or descendants of Mary Ellen

WAYNE COUNTY ADULT EDUCATION CENTER
Wayne County Adult Education Center has resumed classes on Tuesday and
Thursday evenings until 7 p.m. This will give an opportunity to individuals
who aren't able to attend day classes. The center is open weekly on Monday,
Wednesday, and Friday from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. and Tuesday and Thursday 8 a.m.-7
p.m. Our Family Literacy program offers Parent and Children Together (PACT)
Time on Tuesdays 3 p.m.-5 p.m. with homework help for school age children
and Wednesdays from 1 p.m.-2 p.m. There will be Baby (PACT) Parent and Child
Together Time.

Adult Education Center: earn a gold or silver employability certificate
through Work keys; earn a G.E.D.; learn to read; upgrade basic general
education skills; learn to type; learn basic computer skills; study for

WAYNE COUNTY COMMUNITY HEALTH COUNCIL
The Wayne County Community Health Council (Local Champions Against Drug
Use) meets the fourth Wednesday of each month at 12 noon in the Wayne County
Hospital cafeteria meeting room. Come a little earlier and enjoy lunch.
Health-related agencies and concerned citizens are both welcome. Be a part
of helping set community wide health goals and complete projects. To date
the council: has conducted and published two community health surveys and
held community health fairs targeting needs identified on health surveys;
serves as local Champions Groups; garnered an estimated $40,000 for Wayne
County to use towards drug education and prevention efforts; and continues
to develop and distribute educational material related to drug prevention
efforts, parenting tips, health habits, etc.
THE HOPE CENTER
The Hope Center is in need of the following items‹paper products,
cooking and baking food items, canned foods and meats, diapers, nice
bedding, dishes and towels for our burn out room. Any donations would be

WAYNE COUNTY SADDLE CLUB
The Wayne County Saddle Club meeting time has been changed from the
third Monday of the month to the third Tuesday of the month. We invite all
horse lovers to join our club and meet with us.
ALZHEIMER'S ASSOCIATION
Alzheimer's disease is a progressive, degenerative disease which attacks
the brain. It is the most common form of dementia and its causes are
unknown. More than four million Americans are diagnosed with the disease.
The Alzheimer's Association would like to announce a support group for
family members and caregivers of individuals with Alzheimer's disease. This
monthly support group will meet at the Russell Springs Active Day Center in
Russell Springs, Ky. the last Monday of each month at 6 p.m. The setting is
a small discussion group with an emphasis on sharing feelings, thoughts and
experiences.
FREE GOSPEL JAM AT ROCK WORSHIP CENTER
The Rock Worship Center in Somerset, Ky. sponsors a free Gospel Jam,

The Kentucky Division of Forestry prepares Forest Stewardship Plans for
private woodland owners as a free service.
At your request, a forester will walk over your property with you while
explaining the condition of your woodland and listening to your objectives.
The forester will then make recommendations to help you set and achieve
management goals for your forestland. The recommendations will be summarized
in the Forest Stewardship Plan which will include information on timber
production, fish and wildlife management and management for recreation,
aesthetics and water quality.

SIT AND SEW
Contented Heart Quilt Guild will have a "Sit and Sew" day each first
Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Quilt Shoppe. Anyone is invited to come
