An additional $650,000 has been awarded locally for resurfacing

projects, according to Governor Ernie Fletcher and Transportation Cabinet

officials.

Wayne County Fiscal Court has received an additional $500,000 and the

City of Monticello has been awarded $150,000 for resurfacing projects.

"Governor Fletcher is committed to working with local leaders to ensure

communities across the Bluegrass have access to vital resources that pave

the way toward a brighter future for generations to come," said Bill

Nighbert, secretary of the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet. "Improving the

local highway network is critical to enhancing economic opportunities and

the quality of life for our communities throughout the commonwealth."
