Meth lab discovered, five people arrested

Five people have been arrested in connection with the discovery of
another meth lab in the county. On Monday, April 6, the Wayne County
Sheriff's Department and the Monticello Police Department received
information about the location of a stolen 2000 gray Chevrolet truck from
North Vernon, Indiana.
According to Sheriff Charles Boston, officers conducted a canvas of
Wayne County attempting to locate the vehicle. It was found at 280 Burkheart
Drive at the residence of Bethany Burnette.
During the investigation, officers recovered the stolen vehicle and
discovered several items used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine and an
undetermined amount of suspected methamphetamine.
Amanda Taylor, 23, of Monticello, and Douglas Keith Coyle, 22, of
Monticello, was arrested and charged with receiving stolen property over
$300 (automobile) and manufacturing methamphetamine.
Charles Cherry, 29, of Monticello, William Massin-gale, 43, of
Monticello, and Bethany Burnette, 22, of Monticello, were arrested and
charged with manufacturing methamphetamine.
All five were lodged in the Wayne County Detention Center.
The investigation is continuing and more arrests are suspected.
The Lake Cumberland Area Drug Task Force assisted in the investigation.
