W.C. Bass Club holds awards dinner

Monticello — On January 16, the Wayne County Bass Club had their annual awards dinner

at the Wayne County Sportsman's Club to present trophies to the club members

that won a tournament during the 2009 year.

The 2009 tournament winners are: the Wayne County Bass Club Angler Of

The Year 2009 by weight was Ed Reynolds with 1005 points, the anglers get

one point for every ounce of fish that they weigh in at the tournaments. Ed

Reynolds also won two tournaments in 2009, they were Green River Lake with

18 lb. 11 oz. on 06-06-09 and Lake Cumberland with 6 lb. 8 oz. on 09-05-09.

Angler Of The Year 2009 by points was Danny Morrow with 415 points, the

anglers get points based on the place that they finished in a tournament

with 50 points going to first place. Tournament winners on the back row

(left to right) are Brian Loudermilk, winner of the Laurel Lake tournament

on 03-22-09 with 7 lb. 2 oz., Ray Turner won Dale Hollow Lake with 4 lb. 7

oz. on 11-08-09.

The winner of Dale Hollow Lake on 03-08-09 was Glenn Turpin with 5 lb.

12 oz. and Billy Brumley won Lake Cumberland on 04-19-09 with 14 lb. 13 oz.

and Barren River Lake with 8 lb. 13 oz. on 05-03-09.

Ricky Kempton won Lake Cumberland on 07-11-09 with 5 lb. 11 oz., not

pictured is Docky Brumley who won Dale Hollow Lake with 10 lb. 5 oz. on

08-08-09, and Barren River Lake on 10-03-09 with 14 lb. 9 oz.

Docky Brumley also won Big Fish Of The Year with a 7 lb. 9 oz. large

mouth bass caught on Green River Lake on 06-06-09.

The 2009 Tournament Statistics: The club fished ten tournaments and

caught 282 fish that weighed 601 lb. 7 oz., the average number of fish

caught per tournament was 28.2 and the average weight per fish was 2 lb. 13

oz.

The Wayne County Bass Club will be fishing ten tournaments for 2010 the

schedule will be:

1) Center Hill Lake, Tenn. 04-10-10

2) Lake Cumberland 04-24-10

3) Barren River Lake 05-01-10

4) Green River Lake 06-12-10

5) Center Hill Lake, Tenn. 06-26-10

6) Lake Cumberland 07-24-10

7) Dale Hollow Lake 08-21-10

8) Barren River Lake 09-25-10

9) Barren River Lake 10-02-10

10) Green River Lake 10-16-10

The Wayne County Bass Club meetings are at 7 p.m. on the last Monday

night of each month at the Wayne County Sportsman's Club.



Club membership dues are $20 per year and the entry fee per tournament

is $13 and is a 100 percent pay back at the tournament.
