The Wayne County Extension Homemakers will celebrate the 34th Annual Christmas Village on Saturday, November 18. The event will be held from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the National Guard Armory.

A beautifully decorated Christmas tree, gifts, crafts, food of all
kinds, a pinto bean lunch, Children's Village, Santa and much more
highlight the festive event. Homemaker clubs will have craft and food
items for sale at booths throughout the day.
A portion of the proceeds from the club sales will be donated to
various charitable causes. An optional admission charge of a canned
food item or monetary donation will be accepted at the door. These
donations will be collected for the Hope Center and the House of
Blessings.
A 10 foot decorated tree, "Traditional Christmas," will be featured
at the Armory. Santa will arrive at the event at 10 a.m. Parents are
welcome to bring a camera and take pictures of children with Santa.
A traditional  pinto bean lunch will be held from 10:30 a.m until
1:15 p.m. Throughout the day all types of food will be featured, from
country ham and biscuits to chili and homemade fudge.
    The Children's Village will be open from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.
Children ages five through 12 may shop for gifts for relatives at the
Village, purchasing up to five gifts or spending a total of $10.
