A local man has entered guilty pleas to multiple sexual abuse 
charges in Wayne Circuit Court on Wednesday, May 17.
    John  Fawcett entered guilty pleas to three counts of sodomy first 
degree, six counts of incest and three counts of rape first degree.
    The Commonwealth's Attorney recommended a sentence of 20 years on 
each count to run concurrent for a total of 20 years to serve.
    John Fawcett and his wife, Jacqueline Fawcett, were indicted in 2015 
for multiple counts of sexual abuse.
    Jacqueline Fawcett pled guilty to one count of sodomy first degree, 
one count of incest, one count of conspiracy to rape and one count of 
conspiracy to incest in February 2017.
    She was sentenced to 15 years in prison.
    All the charges against the Fawcetts stem from a victim under the 
age of 12, according to the indictment.
    The incidents allegedly occurred from 2012 to 2014. The 
investigation into the sexual abuse allegations was conducted by 
Kentucky State Police.
    Formal sentencing for John Fawcett has been set for August 1 in 

Wayne Circuit Court.
