According to Wayne County Sheriff Tim Catron and Wayne County Jailer
Harvey Shearer the search was conducted as a joint operation between
the two agencies.
Items found included drugs, syringes, other drug paraphernalia,

considered contraband at the detention center.
The investigation by both agencies is continuing. Criminal charges
are pending at this time.
The search is part of the commitment by Shearer and Catron to keep
