Sept. 15, 1931-June 24, 2009

Alta Vivian Koger, age 88, passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2009 at the

Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset.

She was born September 15, 1931, the daughter of the late Odie and

Dempie Gregory Koger.

She is survived by four sisters-Dorothy Tucker, Lucille Jones, Helen

Kaser, and Lilly Middleton; one brother-Cecil Koger; with many nieces,

nephews, friends, and other relatives to mourn her passing.

She was preceded in death by her husband Fred Sayers; sisters-Plina

Slaven, Vela Hicks; brothers-Ralph and Paul Koger.

As a young lady she had accepted Christ as her Savior and was a member

of the Bethel Baptist Church located in the Parmleysville community of Wayne

County.

Funeral services were held Friday, June 26, 2009 in the funeral home

chapel with Bro. Anson Perkins officiating. Burial followed in the Bethel

Church Cemetery.
