FLORA LEE NEAL HANCOCK

April 7, 1935-June 27, 2008

Flora Lee Neal Hancock, age 73, of the Powersburg community of Wayne County, Ky., passed away Friday, June 27, 2008 at her home.

She was born April 7, 1935 in the Chestnut Grove community of Wayne County, Ky., the daughter of the late Sherman and Fannie Cope Neal.

On May 10, 1952 she married Thomas Calvin "TC" Hancock, who survives.

To this 56-year union seven children survive-Bobby Hancock of Alpha, Ky., Shirley Anderson of Monticello, Ky., Forrest Hancock of Cleveland, Ohio, Judy Tuggle of Warsaw, Ind., Richard Hancock of Pall Mall, Tenn., Jackie Crabtree of the Murl community of Wayne County, Ky., and Steve Hancock of the Powersburg community of Wayne County, Ky.

She is also survived by two sisters-Jane Leaph and Linda Conrad; six brothers-Arthur, Ray, Ed, Everett, Eugene and Larry Neal; 15 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one infant daughter-Gloria Lynn; and two brothers-Cecil and William Neal.

She had accepted Christ as her Savior and was a member of Chestnut Grove Baptist Church.

Funeral services were held Monday, June 30, 2008 in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Corb Hicks and Bro. Rodney McGinnis officiating. Burial was in the Hancock Cemetery.

Hoyt G. Hickey and Son Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
