WILLARD LUTHER HICKS

July 29, 1917-Nov. 8, 2008

Willard Luther Hicks, age 91, of Monticello, Ky., passed away Saturday,

November 8, 2008 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

He was born July 29, 1917 in Monticello, Ky., the son of the late Flem

and Mary Alice Catron Hicks.

He married Lena Bridgeman, who preceded him in death.

He is survived by two sons-Dallas Hicks and Jerry Hicks, both of

Monticello, Ky.; four daughters-Ann Denny of Spencer, Ind., Remona Sexton of

Albany, Ky., Catha Sexton of Monticello, Ky., and Rebecca "Becky" York of

Mt. Washington, Ky; one brother-Robert Hicks of Maitland, FL.; two

sisters-Eva Davis of Monticello, Ky., and Lola Kingston of Maitland, FL.; 13

grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many step grandchildren and

step great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sons-Hallas and Joe Hicks; five

brothers-Robert, Bradley, Alonzo, Odell, and Junior Hicks; and one

grandchild.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, November 11, 2008 at 11 a.m. in the

funeral home chapel with Bro. Corb Hicks and Bro. David Flagler officiating.

Burial was in the Taylor's Grove Church Cemetery.

Marvin S. Hicks Funeral Home of Monticello, Ky. in charge of
