RICHARD "RICK" HOMA

7-18-12 — Nov. 28, 1955‹July 5, 2012

    Richard "Rick" Homa, age 56, of Monticello, Ky., passed away Thursday, July 5, 2012 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

    He was born November 28, 1955 in Dover, Del., the son of the late Cyril M. Homa and Delta (Hancock) Homa Kahn.

    On June 26, 2012 he was united in marriage to Gerri Fisher-Homa, who survives.

    He is survived by one son‹Richard Ezra Major; three daughters‹Christina Homa, Samantha Homa and Courtney Ann Fisher; two step-daughters‹Tabitha Fisher and Kimberly Rigby; two grandchildren; one brother‹Ronald Homa; in-laws‹Aldea and Steve Dobus; and a special sister-in-law‹Cheryl Homa.

    He is also survived by two special aunts‹Jimmie Hancock and Dorothy Sexton; cousins‹Lisa Morrow, Vickie Sexton, Allen Sexton, Derek Morrow, Terra Albertson and Caitlyn Mounce, Alberta and Ronnie and several cousins in Ohio.

    He had plenty of friends and was well known locally and elsewhere for his work as a painter.

    He was a Christian, being saved April of this year.

    Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at 4 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Steven Upchurch officiating. Burial was in the Beach Bottom Cemetery in Albany, Ky.

    Marvin S. Hicks Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
