MARTHA MAUDE CONDREAY GODSEY

6-4-2014 —     June 23, 1935‹May 22, 2014

    Martha Maude Condreay Godsey was born June 23, 1935 in Wayne County to the late Virgil and May Marcum Huckaby and passed away Thursday, May 22, 2014 at the Wayne County Hospital reaching the age of 78 years.

    On July 26, 1955 she was united in marriage with James Condreay, who passed away on August 27, 1994, and to this union six children survive‹Charlotte and husband James Perkins, Connie and husband Virgil Foster, Roscoe and wife Freda Daniels, Allen Condreay, Bobby and wife Connie

Condreay and Joseph and wife Mary Kaye Condreay.

    She is also survived by her siblings‹Curtis Pennicuff and Bertha Saylors along with 18 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. In the year of 1995 she united in marriage to Ellis Godsey, who passed away on September 4, 2002.

    She is preceded in death by her two sons‹Danny and Benton Condreay; and her siblings‹Eva Daniels, Relda Daniels, Dorothy Riddle, Ruben, Harlie and Huey Huckaby.

    As a young girl Maude accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church.

    Funeral services were held Sunday, May 25, 2014 in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Mike Smedley and Junior Chriswell officiating. Burial was in the Hurt Cemetery.

    Hickey and Son Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
