Parade

Local residents braved cold temperatures Friday night to watch the annual Monticello-Wayne County Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade. Sixty-nine entries were included in this year’s parade, which featured nine floats. Above—South Kentucky RECC won first place for their float entry in the parade. RECC employees and family members waved as they traveled along the parade route. Below—Santa Claus arrived in Monticello in the antique fire truck, passing out candy and greeting children. More parade pictures are on page 13-A, including the second and third place float winners.
