Two more candidates have joined the growing list of those who will

seek local office in 2014. That brings the total so far to 25,

including candidates who have filed in the Wayne County Clerk's

Office and those who have filed with the Kentucky Secretary of State.

Tommy Spencer, a republican, filed last week as a candidate for

Wayne County Sheriff.

Curtis Lasley, a republican, has filed as a candidate for District

Four Constable.

As of press time on Monday, no other candidates have filed with the

Kentucky Secretary of State for statewide offices that will be on the

ballot next year.

Candidates who intend to seek offices that will appear on the May

primary ballot have until January 28 at 4 p.m. to file their paperwork.

Non-partisan offices that will not appear on the May primary ballot

include those for mayor, city council and school board seats.

Candidates in these races have a later deadline to file for office.
