Aug. 20, 1931-May 1, 2010

    Denver Kidd, 78, of Fowler, died at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, May 1, 2010 at St. Elizabeth Central. He was born August 20, 1931 in Bell Farm, Ky., to the late William Albert and Hellen Emma Kidd. He was married to Yvonnia Bell on February 17, 1959 in Monticello, Ky. She died July 26, 2007.

    Mr. Kidd retired from the State Highway Department. He also worked at Harrison Steel for many years. He was a member of the Church of God and Prophecy. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and cooking.

    Surviving are four sons-Reece Kidd, wife Lynette of Carmel, Calvin Kidd, companion, Judy Jarred, Cameron Kidd and Christopher Kidd, wife Natalie, all of Fowler; Three daughters-Ila Terpstra of Mulberry, Sylvia Cotton of Frankfort, and Molly Kidd of LaVergne, Tenn.; two brothers,  Roger Kidd of Williamsport and Lawrence Kidd of Crystal, Michigan; three sisters-Ivory Eaton of Niota, Tenn., Shirley Sulffridge of Salem, Ore., and Jewel Massie, husband Truman of Corydon. Also surviving are eight grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. Preceded in death by a son Richard D. Kidd; three brothers and one sister.

    Funeral services were held in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, May 5, 2010, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Michael Pierson officiating. Burial was in Fowler Cemetery.
