Monticello School ABC meeting set for February 6

Monticello — An ABC (Administra-tion, Board, and Council) meeting will be held at Monticello Independent next month, following action taken by the board of education during their regular monthly meeting Monday evening, January 11.

Board member Jerry Lair suggested that the board consider having a joint meeting with administrators and school council members, adding that in years past the school experienced more overall success when all three groups worked together and shared ideas.

The board scheduled a joint meeting on Saturday, February 6 at 10 a.m.

In other action, Superintendent Donnie Robison pointed out that January is School Board Member Recognition Month. He recognized the board and expressed his appreciation to the members for their service.



In other news, the board:

€ set the schedule for regular board meetings for 2010.

€ accepted the 2009-2010 School Facilities Construction Commission offer of assistance.

€ scheduled a special board meeting on Wednesday, January 27 at 5 p.m.

to discuss the draft budget.

€ heard and approved a personnel report for the 2009-2010 school year.
