7-7-10 — On July 10, the Disabled American Veterans and the Boy Scouts will be holding a ceremony to dispose of old flags.
Anyone who has a tattered or old flag can drop them off at several different locations in Wayne County, including the Chamber of Commerce Office, Payless Gas, Foothills Meats, Roses Shoe Store or Lake Cumberland Milling.
Flags can also be dropped off on the day of the ceremony from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Senior Citizens Building on Columbia Avenue.
The Boy Scouts will also be selling tenderloin dinners to help raise funds for their organization.
The public is invited to attend this ceremony.
