Monticello — On Tuesday, November 10 the Wayne Co. High School cafeteria was the sight of the First Annual Wayne County High School Lady Cardinal Soccer banquet.
Many parents and supporters attended as well as the soccer team. The honored guests for the evening were Mr. and Mrs. Paul Dunnington, Superintendent John Dalton and WCHS Principal Mrs. Peggy Shearer.
The Lady Cardinal Soccer team finished the season with a record of 5 wins, 6 losses, and 1 tie. This is a very impressive record for the first year and they look forward to improving on it in the coming seasons.
