The Monticello-Wayne County 911 Communications Board met in special session on Wednesday, July 10. The meeting resulted in an executive session and no action was taken.

        According to board chairman Bubby Corder, Mayor Tracie Sexton, Wayne

County Judge-Executive Mike Anderson and Magistrate Dale Vaughn, who

is a member of the fiscal court's personnel committee, were invited to

join the 911 board in the executive session.

        The discussion was reportedly held on personnel, as well as the

agreement between the city and county who govern the 911 board.

        Local media was not contacted regarding the special meeting of the

911 board prior to the meeting.

        A statement was sent out after the meeting that indicated the 911

board meets in regular session every third Thursday of the month at

1:30 p.m.

        Meetings are held in the 911 meeting room at the Monticello Police Department.

        The statement indicated that notices would be sent to media advising

them of special called meetings of the board or any change that occurs

regarding regular meetings.
