The Wayne County Coroner's Office is investigating the death of a

three-month-old infant, found dead in her crib on Sunday afternoon.

Coroner Forrest Hicks said an autopsy was conducted on the baby Monday

in Frankfort, but was not certain when a cause of death would be available.

Hicks noted that the baby had no obvious injuries and at this time he

said there is no evidence of any type of criminal activity.

Police and Wayne County EMS were called to the residence on Tennessee

Street at 1:21 p.m. Sunday, when the baby was found unresponsive. The

Coroner's Office was notified and Deputy Coroners Gordon Hicks and Larry

West responded to the scene.

At press time, the name of the baby had not been released by local

officials.
