The Wayne County Fair and Horse Show begins Saturday, June 29 and will continue through Saturday, July 9 at Memorial Park.
Come out and enjoy some favorite events, eat festival food and ride all the rides as part of the 2019 event.
Things officially kick off Saturday morning with the halter mule show at 10 a.m. The day is filled with activities including the Youth Market Lamb Show at 12 noon and the Meat and Dairy Youth Goat Show at 1 p.m.
This year's Beautiful Baby Contest and the pageants will be held at the ASPIRE Center. They will begin at 2 p.m. with the Beautiful Baby Contest and will continue throughout the afternoon and evening.
The fair will take a day off Sunday and will return with activities on Monday, July 1. That is when EXPO registration begins. Items must be taken to the Wayne County Extension Office between 8:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. to be entered in EXPO 2019.
That evening will feature the IBRA Western Horse Show, which begins at 6:30 p.m. The carnival, with rides provided by Forever Young Entertainment, will also open on Monday.
EXPO will open for viewing on Tuesday, July 2 and will be open from 8 a.m. until 7 p.m. The ATV Motorcycle Obstacle Course event will begin at 7 p.m. that night. Tuesday is also Family Games Night at the Fair.
Kentucky Zone Wrestling is set for 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Wednesday night the featured event will be the Local Only an Open Minis Demo Derby which begins at 7 p.m.
Thursday night will feature the popular KTPA Truck and Tractor Pulls that begin at 7 p.m. The fireworks show will begin after dark.
On Friday, July 5, the Demo Derby for open small and large cars will begin at 7:30 p.m.
Saturday, July 6 is the final day of the 2019 fair and it will feature the Pet Show at 9:30 a.m. That evening is the Redneck Mud Bog and Tuff Truck Obstacle Run, which will begin at 7 p.m.
Admission to the fair will be $5 on Saturday, June 29. It will increase to $10 per person on Monday, July 1 and will include unlimited rides.
