A project to install additional insulation at the Wayne Public Library was recently completed.

Librarian Anne Garner updated members of the board on the project
during their meeting, which was held on Wednesday, December 18. She
stated that additional insulation was blown into the area where there
have been problems with frozen and broken water lines from the
building's sprinkler system.
Garner told board members during a meeting earlier this year that
instead of 12 inches of insulation, portions of the building had only
three inches of insulation. She contacted a contractor several months
ago, who had stated that the only way to install insulation was to
have it blown in.
Garner said the project was completed a couple of weeks ago. The
board approved paying the contractor $3,500 for the work.
In other action during the meeting, the board approved donating a
black and white copier to the Historical Society's library.
Garner indicated that she will be purchasing a new color printer for the library.
