The first Third Thursday concert of the 2019 season will be held
Thursday, June 20 in downtown Monticello.
The free concert will feature local musicians and will kick off the
highly popular series.
South Kentucky RECC will once again serve as the main sponsor for
the Third Thursday events.
Other community partners are involved in the concert series,
including First Southern National Bank, who is the sponsor for this
week's concert.
Vendors will be set up around the square area, providing some
delicious festival-type food, as well as unique arts and crafts items.
Rust Bucket will kick off the music Thursday night at 6:30 p.m.
Members of Rust Bucket include brothers Jason and James Kennett,
Bubby Corder, Dr. James Sawyer and David Smith.
They play a diversity of rock and country music.
The headline group for the evening is Rapid Transit, a favorite in
this region. It includes local members Joe Hicks, Jeff York, Danny
Davis, Keeland Gregory and Eric Weber.
Rapid Transit plays classic rock and has been performing for more
than 40 years. They will take the stage at about 7:30 p.m.
Everyone is invited to bring a lawn chair and come downtown to enjoy
a great evening of music, food and fun.
Anyone who needs more information or who would like to set up as a vendor should call (606) 348-4241.
