MELVIN PHILLIP PARMLEY

Feb. 16, 1937-Jan. 13, 2009

Melvin Phillip Parmley, age 71, of Monticello, Ky., passed away Tuesday,

January 13, 2009 at St. Joseph East Hospital in Lexington, Ky.

He was born February 16, 1937 in Monticello, Ky., the son of the late

Clyde and Dorothy (Bunch) Parmley.

He married Gladys New, who survives.

He is survived by three brothers-Obie Parmley of Dayton, Ohio, Perry

Parmley of Mass., and Dewey Parmley of Monticello, Ky.; one sister-Vela

Stephenson of Monticello, Ky.

Funeral services were held Saturday, January 17, 2009 at 2 p.m. in the

funeral home chapel with Bro. Harold Smith officiating. Burial followed in

the Parnell Methodist Church Cemetery.

Marvin S. Hicks Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
