Alvin O. Dishman, age 72, of the Number One community of Wayne County,
Ky., passed away Monday, March 16, 2009 at his home.
He was born November 1, 1936, the son of the late Forester and Dora
Williams Dishman.
He is survived by his special friend Mae Piercy.
He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and
many friends.
He was preceded in death by his sisters-Marie McGinnis, Lillie Slaven;
brother-Therman Dishman; and one nephew-Jethro Dishman.
He accepted Jesus as his personal Savior on September 8, 1997.
Alvin was a very kind person and never met a stranger. He was a lifetime
farmer which he enjoyed very much. Alvin had many friends and family which
will miss him and mourn his passing.
Pallbearers were David, Don, Darrell, Michael, Chris and Donavon Piercy.
Funeral services were held Thursday, March 19, 2009 in the funeral home
chapel with Bro. Paul Perkins and Bro. Keith McKim officiating. Burial
followed in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
