Carrie Dodson, age 94, of Monticello, Ky., passed away Monday, March 16,

2009 at the Wayne County Hospital.

She was born October 12, 1914 in Monticello, Ky., the daughter of the

late Joe Francis Lair and Lytha Coffey Lair.

She married Homer Dodson, who preceded her in death.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews-Lois Ann Tucker, Kenneth

Barnett, Mary Ruth Smith, Ralph Lair, all of Monticello, Ky., Mamie Baum of

Columbus, Ind., Clara Mae French of Indianapolis, Ind., Nancy Woodward of

Pendleton, Ind., Otis Lair of Virginia, and Norma Jean Keown of

Indianapolis, Ind.

She was preceded in death by five brothers-Claude, Grover, Ira, Hayden,

and Arnold Lair; and one sister-Vada Barnett.

She was a member of the 9th and O Baptist Church in Louisville, Ky.

Funeral services were held Friday, March 20, 2009 at 10 a.m. in the

funeral home chapel with Bro. Larry Marcum and Bro. Howard Slagle

officiating. Burial followed in the Elk Spring Cemetery.

Marvin S. Hicks Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
