RAYMOND "RAMIE" HICKS

Sept. 30, 1929-May 6, 2009

Raymond "Ramie" Hicks, age 79, passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2009.

He was born September 30, 1929, the son of the late James and Daisy

(Stinson) Hicks.

He was united in marriage to Hattie Pyles and to this union four

children were born.

He is survived by one son-Paul Hicks of Monticello, Ky.; three

daughters-Kathy Cooper and Brenda Hicks both of Alpha, Ky. and Jessie

Hancock of Monticello, Ky.; 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; three

brothers-Mintford "Beardy", Billy and Newell "Dudie" Hicks, all of

Monticello, Ky.; two sisters-Nannie Pyles and Neccie Dishman, both of

Monticello, Ky.; along with a host of family and friends to mourn his

passing.

He was preceded in death by one brother-Sherman Hicks; and four

sisters-Mary Dishman, Grace Brown, Sina Ann Hicks, and Bertha Hancock.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, relative, and

friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

Funeral services were held Saturday, May 10, 2009 at 11 a.m. in the

funeral home chapel. Burial followed in Hicks Cemetery.

Marvin S. Hicks Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
