EMMA JEAN SMITH

May 11, 1921-May 12, 2009

Emma Jean Smith, age 88 of Monticello, Ky., passed away Tuesday, May 12,

2009 at Golden Years Nursing Home in Monticello, Ky.

She was born May 11, 1921 in Monticello, Ky., the daughter of the late

Cleve and Ora Mae (Alley) Coffey.

She married Hubert Smith, who preceded her in death.

She is survived by one son-Damon (Mary) Smith of Monticello, Ky.; one

daughter-Hilda (Joe) Morrow of Monticello, Ky.; one sister-Evalee Bishop;

five grandchildren-Rodney Butcher, Timothy, Mark Smith, Michelle Smith and

Micah Morrow; and ten great-grandchildren-Zack, Cassi, and Megan, Payton,

Seth and Jessica, Ryan, Jordan and Brayleigh.

She was preceded in death by one brother-Adeline Coffey; and three

siblings who died at infancy.

Funeral services were held Friday, May 15, 2009 at 5 p.m. in the funeral

home chapel with Bro. Danny Bell and Bro. Clyde Adkins officiating. Burial

was in the Elk Spring Cemetery.

Marvin S. Hicks Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
