Ruth Morris, age 66, of Somerset, Ky., passed away Friday, April 16, 2010 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Ky.
She was born March 7, 1944 in Monticello, Ky. the daughter of the late Porter Herman and Elsie (Cole) Brake.
She married Woodrow Howard, who preceded her in death. She later married Larry Morris, who also preceded her in death.
She is survived by her fiance of 10 years-Michael Griffith; four children-Michelle "Misty" Gregory, Calvin (wife Angie), Derk, and Michael Howard; seven grandchildren-Lindsey Gregory, Kelly and Alecia Howard, Aaron Tilley, Gara Harp, Gage Palmer, Ethan Palmer; and one great-granchild-J.T.
Tilley.
She is also survived by three siblings-Haskel and Bobby Brake, and Margie New; along with a host of other family and friends who mourn her passing.
She was preceded in death by seven siblings-Elva, Harold, Howard, and Porter "Junior" Brake, Vela Upchurch, Alice Abbott, and Dorothy Neal.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at 1 p.m. at the funeral home chapel, with Bro. Jimmie Dishman and Bro. Glen Dalton officiating.
Burial was in the Bethesda Cemetery.
