Monticello — Nov. 21, 1923-Mar. 10, 2010
Marie L. Davis, age 86 of Monticello Ky., passed away Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at the Golden Years Nursing Home.
She was born November 21, 1923 the daughter of the late Emerson and Lissie Stockton Bell.
She is survived by her daughter- Reeda Stephenson and son Bob Davis both of Monti-cello. Her son, Bill precedes her in death.
She is also survived by two siblings- Nannie McCutchen and Hershel Bell.
She is also survived by five grandchildren- Susan Stephenson Slagle, Michelle Davis Tuggle, Inishia Davis Simpson and Billie Tess Davis Frazier; and six great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by seven siblings- Sally Coffey, Elsie Davis, Dorothy Neal, Frank, Fred, Earl and Clarence Bell; and one grandchild- Gregg Jones.
She served her community as a nurse¹s aid. As a teenager she accepted Christ as her Savior and served her Lord as a member of the Methodist Church.
Funeral services were held Saturday March 13, 2010 in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Danny Bell officiating. Burial was in the Elk Springs Cemetery.
