HOMECOMING CARNIVAL
    A Homecoming Carnival will be held Thursday, September 19 from 6:30 
to 8:30 p.m. in the WCHS parking lot. This event is hosted by the 
WCBB and Marching Cardinals!
FAFSA ASSISTANCE
    The local Kentucky Higher Education Assistance Authority Outreach 
Counselor will be at Wayne County High School on the following dates 
to help seniors file their FAFSA for the August 2020-June 2021 school 
year: October 1 from 4-7 p.m.; October 18 from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. 
and on November 21 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Parents can set up 
appointments for the workshops by contacting the Wayne County High 
School counselors office.
MHS CLASS OF
1968 REUNION
    The MHS class of 1968 is planning a reunion event at Cave Lake on 
Friday, October 18. Classmates please come and bring pictures and

WAYNE COUNTY HERITAGE FESTIVAL
    The Wayne County Heritage Festival, hosted by the Mill Springs 
Battlefield Association and Wayne County Historical Society, will be 
held at Mill Springs Park on Saturday, September 28 from 10 a.m. to 5 
p.m. There will be history, festival food, fun, vendors, a gristmill 
grinding and more. Admission and parking is free. Donations are 
appreciated.
JONES REUNION
    The family of the late Russell and Alice (Davis) Jones of the Jones 
Hollow/Ritner/Spann Hill area are having a reunion on Saturday, 
September 21 at the Monticello Senior Citizens building on Columbia

2000 from both Monticello High School and Wayne County High School at 
the homecoming football game on Friday, September 20. The reunion

LONG-TERM
CARE OMBUDSMAN PROGRAM
    The Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program's goal is to help assure that 
long-term care facility residents live harmoniously with dignity, 
feeling free to voice complaints or concerns without reprisal. They 
are in need of volunteers to spend 8-16 hours a month visiting 
assigned nursing homes to talk with residents and observe conditions.

AL-ANON MEETING
    An Al-Anon meeting for families of alcoholics or addicts will be 
held each Monday at 6 p.m. at the Wayne County Hospital conference room.

    The AWANA Clubs and Youth Ministries of Steubenville Baptist Church

    Give Me A Reason Drug Testing is a drug prevention initiative

my parents drug test me. The free saliva based test can be picked up

    The Wayne County Senior Citizens Center invites everyone 60 years 
and older to come and join them from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday-Friday. 
There is a variety of activities to choose from including: checkers, 
puzzles, bingo, pool table, grocery shopping, or just come to 
socialize. Every third Friday of the month is potluck or an outing if 
weather permits. Offered everyday is: TV, exercise (on treadmill or 
bike), well-balanced meals served at 11 a.m., transportation to and 
from center (outside city limits on certain days of the week), day/
afternoon trips, card games, blood pressure checks monthly; health 
clinic, annually; health and nutrition speakers and other informative
