The Wayne County Wrestling Team traveled to Lexington on March 10 and 11 for the 2015 State Wrestling Tournament. The tournament was held at Kentucky Horse Park at All-Tech Arena. Snow and cold weather in February delayed the state tournament for three and a half weeks.

    The Mat Cardinals finished 5th overall in the small school division, 

and 20th overall in the tournament. 106 lb. Cagan Wallace finished 

fifth overall for Wayne County. 113 lb. Jacob Dodd, 132 lb. Cameron 

Nevels and 160 lb. Cecil Nevels, finished one match out of placing 

the top eight overall.

    Wayne County has three seniors 126 lb. Trevor Edmonson, 160 lb. 

Cecil Nevels and 285 lb. Rodney Rednour. These seniors have been a 

big part of Wayne County Wrestling and will be missed next season.
