Mat Cards host Kentucky/Tennessee Border Classic

            The Wayne County Wrestling Team hosted the second annual Wally Guffey Memorial Kentucky/Tennessee Border Classic on Wednesday December 19 at the Wayne County Gym. The Mat Cardinals improved their dual record to 12 wins and 5 losses on the season. The team won 3 duals and lost 1 on the day. The following are dual meet results and individual winners.

            The Mat Cardinals were in action on December 29 when they travel to

Franklin, Tennessee. They will compete in the Franklin Invitational Tournament. The tournament will be a sixteen team double elimination format. The tournament will include teams from Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, and Wayne County from Kentucky. Starting time will be 10 a.m. at Franklin High School.
