Public assistance sought regarding recent burglary
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Department is seeking the public’s assistance regarding a theft of an outbuilding that occurred last week. On Wednesday, September 1, Deputy Terry Davis began an investigation into the theft of a lawnmower, garden tiller, and other items that were taken from the Slickford community.
Total value of the items taken is approximately $1,500, according to a press release issued by the Sheriff’s Department. The victim in this crime is offering a 10 percent reward of the total dollar value of the items for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible.
