Alonso charged with receiving stolen property
A Monticello man has been charged in connection with the theft of an ambulance in Pulaski County. Geromino P. Alonso, 32, was charged with receiving stolen property and was lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center.
Alonso had apparently been taken to the Adanta Clinic in Pulaski County for an evaluation, walked away from the clinic and fled in an ambulance taken from the emergency room entrance of Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
Another ambulance driver was able to locate the stolen ambulance and pull in front of it to slow Alonso down. Police officers arrested Alonso on north U.S. 27 between Science Hill and Eubank.
