Gregory charged with arson A local man was arrested Thursday, December 16 and charged with arson in connection with a fire at a local business. Richard A. Gregory, 42, Monticello was arrested following an investigation into the fire that occurred early on Tuesday, December 14 at Monticello Wood Industries on Highway 3106. Fire Chief Steve Ferrell said his department received the call to Monticello Wood Industries at approximately 3:15 a.m. One machine was damaged, but the fire caused relatively minor damage to the structure. Fire officials said the blaze was suspicious in nature, and the Monticello Police Department investigated the incident. No one was injured in the fire. Gregory was lodged in the Wayne County Detention Center. Add a comment |
