SADIE YOUNG Feb. 23, 1915-Dec. 12, 2004 Sadie Young, age 89, passed away Sunday, December 12, 2004 at Livingston Regional Hospital in Livingston, Tenn. She was born February 23, 1915 in Wayne Co., Ky., the daughter of the late Harvey and Mary Bessie Young New. She married Leo Young, who preceded her in death. She is survived by three daughters-Lois Morrow, Margie Thompson, and Mary Lou Ball, all of Monticello, Ky.; one son-Tommy Young of Shoals, Ind.; two brothers-Avery and Millard New; 19 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death was two children-Foxey Young and Leatta Young; two brothers-Ardell and Noel New; three sisters-Ida Nikirk, Lillie Decker and an infant sister; one grandchild; and one great-grandchild. She had accepted Christ as her Savior and was a member of Elk Ridge Baptist Church. Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon, December 16, 2004 in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Denzel Jones officiating. Burial was in Elk Spring Cemetery. Hickey Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Add a comment |
