ROBERT WEST Sept. 27, 1929-Dec. 30, 2004 Robert West, age 75, passed away Thursday, December 30, 2004 at the Wayne County Hospital. He was born September 27, 1929 in the Barrier community of Wayne Co., Ky., the son of the late John and Bessie Stringer West. He married Hattie Baker West on February 11, 1949, who survives. He is also survived by two daughters-Julie Patton and Sharon Dale Bertram, both of Monticello, Ky.; four sisters-Clora Baker, Carrie Crumbley, Kathyren England and Vena West; three brothers-Henry, Fred and John West; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death was two sisters-Sue Gregory and Lova Vardaman; and three brothers-Roy, Earl and Neal West. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict and was a member of Big Spring Baptist Church. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon, January 2, 2005 in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Larry Foster and Bro. Hoyt Abbott officiating. Burial was in Elk Spring Cemetery. Hickey and Son Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Add a comment |
