Gehring arrested, charged with assault first degree One man was injured and another arrested early Sunday morning, as the Wayne County Sheriff¹s Department investigated the report of a stabbing. Sheriff James Lynn Hill said the incident, which occurred on Spann Hill, was reported at 4:25 a.m. Sunday. Deputies Tommy Spencer and Rick Coffey responded to the scene. Derek Gehring, 22, was arrested and charged with assault first degree, according to Hill. He was lodged in the Wayne County Detention Center. Ben Jones was taken by a private vehicle to the Wayne County Hospital for treatment. Add a comment |
