Large item door-to-door pickup to be held The Wayne County Fiscal Court and Monticello City Council have announced that the large item door-to-door pickup will be held March 14 through April 23. Items that will not be accepted are tires, batteries, paints, and chemicals. Tire Amnesty will be May 12-14. Calls will be taken starting March 1. To arrange for pickup of large items, please call the County Judge¹s Office at (606) 340-8324; the Mayor¹s Office at (606) 348-5719; Solid Waste Coordinator Andrew Parmley at (606) 348-8522; or the Cooperative Extension Service at (606) 348-8453. As a reminder any large metal items, such as washers, dryers, stoves, refrigerators, etc. can be taken free of charge, year-round to T & B Recycling on KY 90 south of the city limits. Add a comment |
