Stardust Cruisers is now under new ownership

Stardust Cruisers is under new ownership and management, and will be

known as just ³Stardust,² according to an announcement made recently by the

corporation. The new ownership became effective January 26.

The new ownership team of Robert Meacham, chief executive officer, and

Jack Caple, chief financial officer, will contribute the financial backing

and boating expertise to lead Stardust into the future and maintain a

leadership presence in the boating industry.

Additionally, the pair will provide the overall management of the

corporation and lead new product and materials development programs.

Meacham and Caple have both owned and operated numerous successful

companies and have extensive research and development backgrounds. Great

Southwest Management Corporation, Lume Partners, International Energy

Conser-vation Partners, Cal-Fund, Harbor Vacation Club, and San Diego Yacht

and Breakfast are several of the companies they have owned and operated.

The former Stardust Cruisers Corporation has for years been known as the

³Cadillac² of the houseboat industry. Bob York, who has been at the helm of

the organization for the past 20 years, will be retained in a consulting

capacity.

Stardust¹s unique production facilities, innovative design capabilities,

and superior customer service have assisted the corporation in being

recognized for years as the leader in the houseboat/coastal cruiser

industry.

On the horizon for Stardust is the launching of new product lines and

technologies aimed at the ocean-going market, while at the same time,

maintaining the superior quality of houseboats and coastal cruisers.

³Jack and I are incredibly excited to be a part of Stardust and the

exceptional people at our headquarters in Kentucky,² Meacham said. ³We are

looking forward to providing the houseboat and coastal cruiser industry with

superior customer service, innovative and creative interior design options,

state-of-the-art products and efficient production time. We pledge to keep

Stardust as the leader in the industry and vow to revolutionize the yachting

business.²

Ron Graham, president of operations, will head the daily operations of

the company. Graham has been working with Stardust Cruisers on this

transition since January 2004.

Jeff York will be retained as executive vice-president of operations,

while Theresa York will remain as the head of the interior design

department. Shawn Bell and John Gregory will remain as vice-presidents of

the sales department.

Kenneth O¹Keeffe has been hired as the new vice-president of design and

engineering.

³As an architect and designer for numerous major corporations with years

of design experience, Kenneth will be an invaluable asset to our company,²

Caple said. ³His expertise and wizardry will become obvious with the launch

of the Chevoit.²
