ERVIN HUGHES Oct. 21, 1929-Feb. 24, 2005 Ervin Hughes, age 75, of Monticello, Ky. passed away Thursday, February 24, 2005 at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington, Ky. He was born October 21, 1929 in Wayne Co., Ky., the son of the late William Hughes and Lady Phipps Hughes. He married Imogene Lyons Hughes on May 1, 1953, who survives. He is also survived by five children-Linda Riddle, Carolyn Dishman, Ronald Hughes, Larry Hughes and Gary Hughes, all of Monticello, Ky.; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death was two brothers-Haskall Hughes and Glen Riley Hughes. He was a veteran, having served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a farmer. Funeral services were held Sunday, February 27, 2005 at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Corb Hicks officiating. Burial was in the Davis Chapel Cemetery.
