Officials discover large meth lab Officials discovered what is believed to be the largest methamphetamine lab in Wayne County Saturday, April 2 by the Wayne County Sheriff¹s Department as they investigated a domestic violence complaint on Sugar Hollow Road. Information about the discovery was released earlier this week. At press time, no criminal charges had been filed in connection with the discovery. According to information released by the Wayne County Sheriff¹s Department, during the investigation of the domestic violence complaint deputies made observations which led to a search warrant. Numerous samples were collected for lab examination. Approximately 40 pounds of hazardous materials were removed from the property and disposed of by the Laurel County Public Safety Depart-ment Meth Lab Clean-Up Crew and the Monticello Fire Department. The UNITE Drug Task Force also assisted at the scene. Officials said the investigation is continuing. Add a comment |
