ETHEL LAIR OVERTON Sept. 17, 1917-Apr. 6, 2005 Ethel Lair Overton, age 87, of Monticello, Ky. passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2005 at her home. She was born September 17, 1917 in Wayne Co., Ky., the daughter of the late John and Mary Slagle. She married Robert Lair, who preceded her in death. She later married Bob Overton, who preceded her in death. She is survived by one daughter-Mary Ann Dishman; 16 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great grandchildren. Preceding her in death was three children-Bobby Lair, Carolyn Bell and Sharon Wilkinson. She had accepted Christ as her Savior and attended the Monticello United Methodist Church. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon, April 8, 2005 in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Anson Perkins and Bro. Don Hiten officiating. Burial was in the Alexander Cemetery.
