Warning sirens to be tested

The community outdoor warning sirens will be tested Wednesday, April 20

at noon, if there are no storms present in the area at that time, according

to Emergency Management Director Bubby Corder.

Corder said that the warning sirens will be tested the third Wednesday

of every month at noon.

The sirens, which are now all operational, will be utilized during the

event of a local tornado warning. They will also be set off when there is a

thunderstorm warning with a tornado watch or in the event of any storm that

has winds in excess of 60 miles per hour.
