Injuries hamper early season effort for MHS softball team The 2005 Monticello Softball season has been thwarted with numerous injuries. Coach Bronda Pace-Bertram noted that the team has had as many as five players on the injured list this season. Two of those have missed most of the regular season. ³Injuries have played a major role in the season¹s struggle to win,² said Bertram. ³There have been several games that if those who were injured could have played, we would without a doubt have some wins under our belt.² Bertram noted that the team has several strengths including the fact that there are several versatile players who can play almost any position. ³We are a young team that will hopefully make a run for the district title,² she said. Bertram is assisted by Teresa Wallen and Ronnie Sexton. Add a comment |
