BERTHA LEE HICKS HANCOCK May 26, 1915-July 20, 2005 Bertha Lee Hicks Hancock, age 90, passed away July 20, 2005 at Jamestown Regional Hospital in Jamestown, Tenn. She was born May 26, 1915 in the Powersburg community of Wayne County, the daughter of the late Richie and Daisey Stinson Hicks. She is survived by seven children-T.C. Hancock, Georgia Kidd, Mary Turner, and Ricky Hancock all of Monticello, Ky., Roger Hancock and Barbara Sue Tackett both of Monticello, Ind., and Martha Gann of Indianapolis, Ind.; two sisters-Nannie Pyles and Nicey Dishman; five brothers-Sherman, Billy, Ramie, Minford and Newell Hicks; 20 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; and ten great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter-Katherine; three sisters-Grace, Mary, and Sinie; and one grandchild. She had accepted Christ as her Savior and was a member of the Church of God. Funeral services were held July 23, 2005 in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Oral H. Denney and Bro. William Corb Hicks officiating. Burial was in the Elk Spring Cemetery. Hoyt G.
