The event is sponsored by the Monticello-Wayne County Chamber of Commerce. The festival will be held from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. on Saturday, September 3 and from noon until 6 p.m. on Sunday, September 4. The car show will also be held Sunday afternoon. Many of the favorite events are back for this yearıs festival, including popular craft and food booths, pony rides, train rides, and games and contests. There will be entertainment and this year the festival plans to include demonstrators of old time arts and crafts. Penny Thompson, Administrative Assistant for the Chamber of Commerce, said that they are currently seeking demonstrators who can quilt, whittle, do woodworking or any other type of old-time crafts. Anyone who would like to participate should call the Chamber Office at (606) 348-3064. Add a comment |
