CLAUDE VENSON CASADA Jan. 11, 1923-Aug. 1, 2005 Claude Venson Casada, age 82, of Somerset, Ky. passed away Monday, August 1, 2005 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Ky. He was born January 11, 1923 in Kidder, Ky., the son of the late Shelby Lewis Casada and Cindy Lu Mitchell Casada. On December 23, 1945, he married Ruby Mae Gholson Casada, who passed away on September 18, 2004. He is survived by two sons-Ron Casada of Somerset, Ky., and Don Casada of Elyria, Ohio; one daughter-Wilma Klein of Oberlin, Ohio; four grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son-Roger Casada; ten brothers-Leo, Charlie, Horace, Elmer, Everett, Ira, Harvey, Clint, Starlin and Raymond; three sisters-Etta, Dona and Luda; and one granddaughter. He served in the Army during WWII. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and American Legion Post #38 Honor Guard. He was a quarryman for Amherst Quarries, and was a mower for Kentucky State Highway Department. He was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church, Kidder, Ky. Funeral services were held Wednesday, August 3, 2005 at 11 a.m. at the Liberty Baptist Church, with Bro. Ulanda Price and Bro. Grant Hardwick officiating. Burial was in the Liberty Baptist Church in Kidder, Ky. Lake Cumberland Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Add a comment |
