ZORA OVA BRANSCUM DICK March 8, 1925-Aug. 12, 2005 Zora Ova Branscum Dick, age 80, of Amherst, Ohio, passed away August 12, 2005 at Specialty Hospital of Lorain. She was born March 8, 1925 in Delta, Ky., the daughter of the late Columbus Branscum and Sula New Branscum. She married Vernon Ray Dick, who preceded her in death. She is survived by one son-Larry Dick of Avon, Ohio; four daughters-Shirley Norris and Joyce Barker both of Amherst, Doris Nott of South Amherst, and Linda Barker of Oberlin; one sister-Vena Martin of Somerset, Ky.; nine grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one infant son-Bobby Lewis Dick; five brothers-Hobert Branscum, Arvil Branscum, Thurston Branscum, Elbert Branscum, and Ray Branscum; and two sisters-Opal Denney, and Flonnie Branscum. She was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church in Vermilion. Funeral services were held Monday, August 15, 2005 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Guy Morton officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, South Amherst. Hempel Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Add a comment |
